Abruzzo Sviluppo Spa is the Region of Abruzzo’s development Agency, managing the support and qualification of the regional industrial system, particularly of SMEs, in the areas of technological innovation, Research and Technological Development (R&TD), internationalisation, territorial marketing and funding. Abruzzo Sviluppo is the operational body of the Region of Abruzzo, counseling and offering support in the following areas of intervention:


ECONOMIC AND TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT

• Preparation of documents for territorial and sectoral programming at the EU, interregional, regional and local level.
• Analysis of emerging and current phenomena regarding the territory and technical support for regional programming
• Promotion and implementation of international partnerships on territorial development issues
• Support to public policies for the creation and management of a network of intersectoral, interinstitutional and international relationships and for the delineation of system policies
• Production of industry reports and analysis, and arrangement and management of monitoring systems on territorial and sectoral policies
• Creation of institutional cooperation projects on issues related to programming and development
• Organisation of round-table discussions, focus groups, participatory processes initiatives in line with the strategies of the regional administration for the economic development of the territory
• Design and management of communication and information tools dedicated to regional development issues
• Cooperation and affiliation with other development Agencies in the Country, research Institutions, Universities, and management and labour institutions
• Implementation of focus groups, round-tables, participatory processes initiatives
• Creation of localized projects, territorial marketing actions and investment attraction


RESEARCH AND INNOVATION

• Support and guidance through the processes of territorial innovation
• Assistance and coordination of public-private mixed partnerships on specific projects
• Management and transfer of information and communication among local stakeholders
• Networking activities with the major national and European networks


INTERNATIONALISATION

• Implementation of territorial development programmes stemming from regional, national or EU initiatives
• Coordination of actions aimed at the internationalisation of the regional economic and institutional system
• Support of the relationships with national institutions (Simest, Sace, Ice)
• Analysis and resources for the internationalisation of the regional production system and for the attraction of foreign investments
• Development of interpersonal networks and initiation of EU and non-EU partnerships


EUROPEAN UNION POLICIES

• Assistance to enterprises, territorial institutions and associations for access to resources deployed by the European Union through Community programmes and initiatives
• Support to the regional administration in preparing programmatic documents regarding the internationalisation of the regional system and the development cooperation
• Assistance to the regional administration in the drawing up and implementation of programmes and initiatives regarding EU and non-EU territorial cooperation
• Support and guidance in the relationship with EU structures and European institutions for the development of welfare and territorial cohesion policies, strengthening of foreign institutions and local governments
• Online information on European Union policies and programmes and dissemination of information through the organisation of events
• Development cooperation among local governments and setting up of networks of relationships in order to activate national and international partnerships, aimed at finding sources of funding
• Representation of the Regional System to the EU and the international Institutions
